Libra Full Moon: Ripe

April 18, 2019 By Jacqueline

Moonrise by Janie Olson 217x300 - Libra Full Moon: RipeRipe.
If the moon
was stitched together
with cosmic thread,
it would be bursting at the seams.

A luminescent celestial statement.
Libra Full Moon Ripe
beacon of elegant cooperation
at her wit’s end.
at the point of no return.

Frayed edges.
Patience worn thin.
Moonlight spills from the tipping point…

Shards of the past.
Broken rules.
What is out of wack.

Contrast is accentuated.
The picture is less than graceful.
Realizations brought from the night into the light of the day.

Be done with it.

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” C.G. Jung

Libra Full Moon: Ripe
April 19, 2019 4:12 am PDT

One month ago at the Equinox, the full moon was in the earliest degree of Libra. We were still wading through the mists of that dreamy, perhaps murky Mercury retrograde in Pisces (conjunct Neptune). The cycle comes around to this full moon in the final degree of Libra, a time of fruition and culmination. There may be a last ditch effort to bring a conclusion to misunderstandings of the past. For some, there is an impatience to move forward that can be rude. Testy. In a rush.

Why not highlight the best of this passage: the sign of Libra is known as the Peacemaker. Bring in harmony and balance. We surely need it now. The South Node sits between Pluto and Saturn, destabilizing established hierarchy. People can get too controlling or feel ruled by the demands of others. Work and family responsibilities balance askew. The catharsis continues. Waking up begins in the Here and Now. How may we move forward with graceful equanimity? How may each voice be heard?

Everything is held together with stories. That is all that is holding us together, stories and compassion.” Barry López

That’s life starting over one breath at a time. 200x300 - Libra Full Moon: RipeLibra Full Moon Meditation

Libra is an air sign. Breath is the key to clear the mind and calm the heart.

The four fold breath: Inhale with a four count, hold breath for a four count, exhale with a four count, hold breath for a four count.

Take your time with your own rhythm, it’s not a race and there is nothing to prove. Try it for a minute or two and notice the difference in your mind and body.

The trick is remembering that you can practice this anytime throughout your day or at night.

That’s life: starting over, one breath at a time.” Sharon Salzberg, Real Happiness

“Thank you so much Jacqueline. It truly is amazing how so much of October’s reading unfolded these past few months. I appreciate your connection, your astrological expertise and intuitive insight. I look forward to listening to the recording.” C.E.

Aries New Moon: Renewal

April 4, 2019 By Jacqueline

unfurled by juliedillon db0u8jl 300x193 - Aries New Moon: Renewal

Visions, dreams and yearnings,
nebulous anxiety and fears
…cosmic waters recede.

Pluto plumbs and dredges the past,
yet more to discover, dig up and discard.
The only ground to stand on is the leading edge
of provocative fire.
The depth, the core, the leap,
and the courage of unfurling.

“It’s not the absence of fear. It’s overcoming it. Sometimes you’ve got to blast through and have faith.” Emma Watson (Aries woman, born April 15)

Fiery spiral of lifespring rising
from the subterranean bubbling;
vulnerable and perhaps raw,
we emerge with the bold vitality of Aries.

Take the initiative, break new ground,
Aries New Moon: Renewal.

Aries New Moon: Renewal
April 5, 2019 1:50 am PDT

Throughout the month of March, uncertainty and distractions muddled the collective view. Mercury retrograde in Pisces conjuct Neptune three times. Practical matters were often set aside or needed to be re-done. The fog is slowly lifting, although we’re not quite in the clear. The Aries New Moon brings an impatience to get on with it all. Aries, the warrior of elemental fire, takes a leap forward even though we may not have clarity about where we’re going or how to go about it. The karmic catharsis is rumbling and headstrong Aries’ impulse is to forge forward. More here: More than Mercury Retrograde.

Note April 10-13:
Aries Sun squares Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. You might need to move mountains. Be patient and pace yourself. Notice what’s up for you, you’ll be dealing with the same or similar issues in January of next year.

More than Mercury Retrograde

March 19, 2019 By Jacqueline

To be happy… we need to take some time each day to sit down, look into ourselves, and identify the kind of energy that’s motivating us and where it is pushing us. Thich Nhat Hanh

Tree of Life Silas Stoddard 287x300 - More than Mercury Retrograde
“Or those old graves, wide open, like the eyes of a shepherd who wakes feeling joyful, full of stillness and blossoming nettles, releasing a swarm of elated butterflies.” Rainer Maria Rilke

Rumblings and stirrings.
Upside-down,
inside-out,
world out of balance.

Toxic traditions.
Hollow goals.
The excess,
the lack.
Inequitable.
Unsustainable.

Snagged by outworn habits.
When the comfort zone is not so cozy,
open your eyes
ripe with new insight
to the reality of life.

Collective karmic catharsis.
Ancestral trauma resurfaces
from the depths.

Sacred earth
and the crimes of inhumanity.

Deep transformation
within the old power paradigm.
Relinquish control,

discard limitations
and reach for a new and fluid emotional security.

“That’s life: starting over, one breath at a time.” Sharon Salzberg

More than Mercury Retrograde: Capricorn Crescendo

We’re in the Capricorn Crescendo as Saturn and Pluto travel through Capricorn and grow closer and closer until their conjunction in January 2020. Now, Pluto and the Lunar South Node approach and the rumblings and stirrings of karmic catharsis are growing stronger. Astrologers see different ways to note the timing of the exact conjunction of Pluto and the South Node; the alignments occur on March 28 and April 4. We are facing the inevitable. Our task is to deal with what has been stuffed, suppressed or buried, what we haven’t been able or willing to face.

The collective element is immense: our shared history, what traditions and ways of “doing business” are mainstream acceptable yet in reality shameful and harmful – involving slavery, abuse and destruction. The commodification of everything. Shameful waste. The hoarding of wealth. Now is the time to transform the Capricorn archetype. May we be stewards of the earth and respectful of all life and the generations ahead. May we take the mantle of power and responsibility with sober, reverent maturity.

Equinox Portal Flipside

Six months ago, we passed through the Fall Equinox portal with a Full Moon in Aries. This Spring Equinox brings us a Full Moon in Libra.

Both the Equinox and the Full Moon activate the Aries-Libra axis. Themes of identity, independence and self in polarity with awareness of significant others, diplomacy and cooperation. It’s no wonder that relationships are on our minds and in our hearts.

The Libra Full Moon stands out as a focal point in the planetary design. We need connection. We need one another. Chiron is conjunct the Sun and opposite the Moon, bringing up old stories and hurts. We are ripe for healing the past and stepping through the Equinox portal with wisdom and healing.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces until March 28

Mercury stations direct while less than 1° from Neptune (Pisces’ ruler) and the degree of the New Moon on March 6. Pick up the threads you were weaving, water the seeds you planted, retrieve what was left behind, soften, forgive, forget, remember, imagine, dream, take a nap. Yes, this date coincides with one of the Pluto South Node Conjunctions. Here is our opportunity to release the old story and empower dreams! Re-imagine authority with compassionate maturity. Respect intuition.

“Rather than trying to control what can never be controlled, we can find a sense of security in being able to meet what is actually happening. This is allowing for the mystery of things: not judging but rather cultivating a balance of mind that can receive what is happening, whatever it is. This acceptance is the source of our safety and confidence.
When we feel unhappiness or pain, it is not a sign that things have gone terribly wrong or that we have done something wrong by not being able to control the circumstances. Pain and pleasure are constantly coming and going, and yet we can be happy. When we allow for the mystery , sometimes we can discover that right in the heart of a very difficult time, right in the midst of a painful situation, there is freedom. In those moments when we realize how much we cannot control, we can learn to let go.
As we begin to understand this, we move from a mode of struggling to control what comes into our lives into a mode of simply wishing to truly connect with what is. This is a radical shift in worldview.”
Sharon Salzberg, Lovingkindness: The Revolutionary Art of Happiness

Oh my. This new moon is conjunct Neptune (Pisces’ ruler) which amps up sensitivity and confusion to the utmost. This is preceded by Mercury at 29 degrees Pisces in Retrograde (until March 28). Inspired to swim in cosmic waters or afraid of being pulled in by the undertow? Be aware of cloudy judgements. Explore without attachments. Be ready to lend a helping hand. Allow for more time to go wherever you go. Follow your Muse, Dreamweaver! Visual arts, music, poetry all benefit this month. Bathe your heart in loving kindness. Spin straw into gold. Be clear with your boundaries. Keep your feet on the ground. Seek the wisdom of trees.

March 14: Mercury conjunct Sun, always a notable point in the cycle when the retrograde story is illuminated by the Sun’s light. Mark your calendar… what stands out for you? It may be an event, a communication or insight that circumvents the usual patterns. Take a time out for sensing, listening and observation. The following day, Mercury squares Jupiter, expansive thoughts, grandiose proclamations about truth or maybe just too much.. scattered. Remember the intuitive voice is not always literal.

Big news also is Uranus’ solid entry into Taurus on March 6 where it travels until April 2026. Uranus is associated with rebellion, liberation and awakening. Taurus’ approach to life is often conservative, sensual, practical and persistent. There is a great potential for new technologies to rise alongside the dire need for changing humanity’s wasteful habits. Take a look in your own astrology chart to see what area of your life is ripe for awakening. Contact me for a fresh perspective!

Virgo Full Moon: devotion

February 17, 2019 By Jacqueline

“Being productive at your craft is important. Being productive in your devotion to grow as a human is essential.” Robin S. Sharma

humble offerings.
Brush away pride
as well as fear.
Shake off self-absorption.

You are no better,
no less than others.
Everyone is hungry.
Everyone has desires.
Everyone deserves to be fed,
to be truly seen and loved.

Daily devotions
do not absolve you from sin,
since there is no sin that binds you.
There is work to be done.

Precious Life
Precious Earth.

Turn emotion inside-out.
The flip-side of yearning
is a cup overflowing.

You are free to love yourself,
to love life… all of life and who you love.
Create the beautiful design of your life.
Translate love and compassion
into your daily offerings.
There is work to be done.

“Every day millions of Tamil women in southeast India wake up before dawn to create a kolam, an ephemeral ritual design made with rice flour, on the thresholds of homes, businesses and temples. This thousand-year-old ritual welcomes and honors Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and alertness, and Bhudevi, the goddess of the earth. Created by hand with great skill, artistry, and mathematical precision, the kolam disappears in a few hours, borne away by passing footsteps and hungry insects.”  Feeding a Thousand Souls: Women, Ritual, and Ecology in India, An Exploration of the Kōlam by Vijaya Nagarajan

So, if you have practical necessities to accomplish, make them meaningful. It will serve you and others in the long run. Mercury is conjunct Neptune (Pisces ruler); ideals and imagination are strong. If that’s not the case, delusion or escapism will do.

Uranus continues to move through the 29th degree of Aries until March 6. It is a volatile period of change and upheaval. Reflect on the significant changes in your life since 2011, as you are about to begin a new chapter of awakening.

There is a shift in two weeks when the Pisces New Moon conjuncts Neptune as Mercury, in the 29th degree of Pisces, stations retrograde. No doubt magic will be in the air, along with an outpouring of compassion at a rather disorienting and weird time. That’s March 5 & 6, concurrent with the Uranus ingress Taurus where it travels until 2026.

“A practice you can do to help you develop more empathy and compassion. Just Like Me, helps you see that you and others are the same. Say you’re in a traffic jam. You look around at all the other drivers and think, just like me they don’t like to be in this traffic jam. Just like me they’re fuming and fussing. Or you’re walking along the street and there’s someone sitting on a sidewalk who is very distressed. You think, just like me they want to be happy. Just like me, they want to have some comfort in their life. You see your sameness.”

“My second reading has made a really big impact on me.  I’m completely amazed at how accurate you are at deciphering the charts to translate it in a way that is tangible and helpful to me.”   R.K.
