Solstice Moon: Renew the Light Within

December 20, 2018 By Jacqueline

the nights grow longer.
We renew the Light within.

Step outside, infinite sky,
as above, so below.
Ancient rhythms are alive.

Be nourished by your open mind,
daily miracles of grace.
A bird in flight.
The bowl of warm soup.
A smile.

Look ahead…
spin out to future calibrations.
Return, return to the Here & Now.

Fear, apprehension,
desire, yearning, optimism…
traveling the spectrum of speculation.

Root yourself in this moment.
Set your internal compass.
Come home to yourself.

“When we pause, allow a gap and breathe deeply, we can experience instant refreshment. Suddenly, we slow down, and there’s the world.” Pema Chodron

in this welcoming home.

Hold yourself precious and sacred.

Cancer Full Moon
December 22, 2018 9:48 am PT

Hours after the Solstice, the full moon comes to fruition. Luminous Cancer Moon opposite Capricorn Sun highlights a sharpened awareness of our needs and the needs of our world. Now we must integrate self nurturing and self discipline. Mercury and Jupiter conjunct in Sagittarius calls for adventure and offers an expansive perspective. For some, too many distractions and wasteful choices. There is a reactivity, feelings run high and righteousness comes easy. People want to be heard. Sincere seekers are ignited. Sometimes it’s all talk.

In two weeks, the new moon is a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. A rumbling in the foundation.

“Be kinder to yourself. And then let your kindness flood the world.” Pema Chodron

Rooted like trees. Rilke 200x300 - Solstice Moon: Renew the Light Within☽ Solstice Full Moon Reflections ☼

Visualize your body as a tree, your roots planted firmly in the earth, your branches stretching into the sky and your sturdy trunk holding your core center.

How may I hold my own and other’s tenderness with steadiness?

What is nourishing discipline and how may I apply it?

How may I respond to others without neglecting myself?

“Dearest Jacqueline: listening again, alone, was very inspiring and insightful. Much gratitude and love for who you are, within the astrophysics of life, love, intuition and support for me and others, sharing your gift. Blessings, Maureen W.”

Sagittarius New Moon: Intention

December 5, 2018 By Jacqueline

“We either live with intention or exist by default.” Kristin Armstrong

Sagittarius by Julie Dillon 205x300 - Sagittarius New Moon: IntentionThe point of attention
is one of contention,
the choice to be awake
and the continual allure of slumber.

Again and again, the Seeker
affirms the choice to be conscious
yet the unconscious seems
to set the scene

to stumble, to wander,
confused and lost, to question and
at times, to awaken again.

Universe of chaos and
universe of divine design.

New paths of possibilities beckon
to seek higher ground
and expansive perspective.

Lo, here comes the new moon
with yet another opportunity to
plant potent seeds of intention.

The archer draws the bow and
aims a fiery arrow of aspiration,
ready to fly.

“Intention involves such a small fragment of our consciousness and of our mind and of our life.” Jasper Johns

How may your intention be more than a fragment,
more than a wisp of a wish?

Infuse your arrow, your bow, your mind and your body
with the power of your intention and get ready to take flight.

Let the power of intention lead the way. 200x300 - Sagittarius New Moon: IntentionSagittarius New Moon: Intention
December 6, 2018 11:20 pm PT

Sun, Moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius mark our world with bold and exuberant strokes. Mars and Neptune in Pisces are the dreamy watercolors. Mars and Neptune square the new moon which may translate into a restlessness to move forward in conflict with ever-changing circumstances and feelings of vulnerability. There may be indecision about whether to move ahead, escape or rest awhile.

Additionally, Mercury (retrograde since November 17) is stationary direct at 1:22 pm, only hours before the new moon. Take this time to consider all the options and gain insight into the matters at hand before charging forward, oh eager Centaur. Hold the conscious tension of that bow and aim your arrow with an empowered wisdom.

“I want first of all – in fact, as an end to these other desires – to be at peace with myself. I want a singleness of eye, a purity of intention, a central core to my life that will enable me to carry out these obligations and activities as well as I can. I want, in fact – to borrow from the language of the saints – to live ‘in grace’ as much of the time as possible. I am not using this term in a strictly theological sense. By grace I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony.” Anne Morrow Lindbergh

☽ Sagittarius New Moon Seeds of Inquiry ☼

Name your intentions aloud. Then ask:

How may I embody my intentions?

How may I strengthen and empower my intentions?

How may I cultivate focus and lessen distraction?

How may I stay awake to my intentions while in consideration of others in my sphere?

“Thank you SO much again for the incredible session you gave me today Jacqueline! You really are gifted, and so happy you are sharing it. I feel so much more grounded and connected….feels very peaceful. I look forward to connecting again…..and future follow-up sessions. Namaste!” Julie Lesperance

Scorpio New Moon, Venus Rising

November 5, 2018 By Jacqueline

“Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive — the risk to be alive and express what we really are.” Don Miguel Ruiz

Dispelling Fear of the Dark by Toni Truesdale 209x300 - Scorpio New Moon, Venus Rising

What speaks from the shadow,
the mire and the muck
bubbling up from the underworld.
Can you hear it?

Denial exposed.
That stuff we don’t want to hear or see
is staring straight in our faces.
Don’t let fear shut the door.

The urge to to cull and purge
(or shut down/avoid it all).
Claim what is desirable,
empowering vitality and endurance!

Dig deep into the complexities,
bring the gems into the light
that passion with clarity may rise
for renewal and healing.

Relationships betwixt and between
desire and ideals,
manipulation and allowing
love and trust.

Inner worlds, intimate relations, emotional realms.
Investigation of subversive resistance, anger and fear.
Desire guides us to meet the ogres
that guard our secrets, our treasures.

Claim your darkness
name your ogres.
Claim your beauty,
your passion, your power,

your core values, your integrity
and your abundance.

Admit your destructive
and life-extinguishing beliefs
.
What do you value?

Our willingness to cast aside denial,
and awaken to Mystery
leads us to further realizations
of profound knowing and unknowing.

The riddle, the puzzle, the questions…
within every shadow is a door
within every mirror is a light
within every breath is Spirit.

We go through life.We shed our skins. We become ourselves. 200x300 - Scorpio New Moon, Venus RisingScorpio New Moon

Scorpio New Moon focuses on intensity, healing, death and regeneration. It is a reminder to shine light on the dark places and heal the wounds of the silence of secrets. Uncompromising persistence can be life-affirming or destructive. Choose the seeds of conscious intentions to plant at this time.

This New Moon is uniquely tied in with Venus retrograde (direct on November 16). Days before the New Moon, Venus arose as a morning star (heliacal rising in Libra) on November 1 for the first time in 155 years. This is an extremely potent time for negotiation, diplomacy and the value of love. Be aware of how love and kindness can make a difference at any moment in your life and in relationship with others. Drop away the old stories that affirm regret and negative self worth. Release any compulsion to control situations and people in order to get what you want.

seas of venus” by CHRIS DRUMM is licensed under CC BY 2.0 209x300 - Scorpio New Moon, Venus RisingFood for thought: The heliacal rising of Venus completes the Aries cycle begun on April 1, 2017 and begins a new cycle in Libra which will complete at the heliacal rising in Gemini during the next retrograde in June 2020. Eight years ago Venus (retrograde October 8 – November 18, 2010 ) arose as a morning star within days of the Scorpio New Moon of November 6, 2010.

“We go through life. We shed our skins. We become ourselves.”
Patti Smith

Jupiter, in the final degree of Scorpio points towards an intensely emotional exploration of values and beliefs in relationships. The search for truth is a journey to mine the depths of all that is hidden, taboo and unconscious. Passion may fuel us and inspire us. Extreme passions may become a destructive fire of obsession or righteousness.

The day after the new moon, Jupiter enters Sagittarius for a year’s sojourn. Bluster and fiery proclamations abound. A greater awareness of the world-at-large increases. Spiritual journeys and mass migrations will expand. In contrast, self-indulgent and wasteful individuals will gain the spotlight for better or worse. Jupiter highlights an expansive view of life, wisdom and generosity… how are we inspired and what will we do with it??

What are the secrets you hold?

What are the secrets that you withhold from your conscious mind?

Who (specifically) are you protecting by holding secrets?

Who are you hurting by withholding?

Taurus Full Moon, Venus Retrograde

October 23, 2018 By Jacqueline

“Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. …live in the question.”
Rainer Maria Rilke

DebraBernier 232x300 - Taurus Full Moon, Venus RetrogradeNexus, crossroads. Excitement.
Comfort zone disrupted,
jangled, interrupted.

Not a luxurious and languid pace.
A curious concurrence
of rooted resistance and sudden change…

Anything is possible.
Roll the dice.
Hold on tight
or dare to cut loose.
Freedom, upset.

Deep renewal.
Affirm integrity
Align desire, intention
and cooperation.

“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.” Maya Angelou

Relationship Season

Jolt of awareness. Emotional intensity and mental perception can bring clarity in relationships: all types of relationships, personal, business and in community. Reversals and sudden changes. Tensions rise between the desire for security and for destruction. Restlessness and resistance. Conservation and rebellion. Taking sides. Diversity clashes with uniformity. Hurry up and be patient already!

The signature of this full moon is a grand fixed cross (see chart image). Venus, the planet of love, desire for harmony and values figures prominently. We have to take emotional risks to get the goodies. This includes emotions invested in creativity. Friday, 10/26 Venus conjuncts the Sun, an important point in the retrograde cycle. Open your awareness to sense where you are in your relationship with yourself. Does self-examination and deep transformation go together with a deep-rooted self-love?

This full moon kicks off a week+ (through approx 11/3) of an unstable period of change. For many, a karmic turning point. Some experience the excitement of moving forward with impulse, perception and synchronicity. Others find the tensions build without direction and burst out of control.

“The Venus Retrograde (October 5 – November 16) in Scorpio, is notorious for complex entanglements. The water is deep. Be aware of strategy and manipulation. Be authentic. Venus retrogrades back into Libra on October 31. Harmonious negotiation is key. Life is short. Go for the love.” quote from my Equinox Full Moon post.

“Life is glorious, but life is also wretched. It is both. Appreciating the gloriousness inspires us, encourages us, cheers us up, gives us a bigger perspective, energizes us. We feel connected. But if that’s all that’s happening, we get arrogant and start to look down on others, and there is a sense of making ourselves a big deal and being really serious about it, wanting it to be like that forever. The gloriousness becomes tinged by craving and addiction. On the other hand, wretchedness–life’s painful aspect–softens us up considerably. Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person. When you are feeling a lot of grief, you can look right into somebody’s eyes because you feel you haven’t got anything to lose–you’re just there. The wretchedness humbles us and softens us, but if we were only wretched, we would all just go down the tubes. We’d be so depressed, discouraged, and hopeless that we wouldn’t have enough energy to eat an apple. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us. They go together.” Pema Chödrön, Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living

Where do I feel stuck and how am I getting in my own way?

Out of my comfort zone? What is disruption showing me?

May I delve honestly and boldly within and with deeply-rooted self-love?

Libra New Moon, Venus Retrograde

and the effort in gaining equanimity.
As if Halloween came early this year.

Don’t shut down to love.
Don’t abandon yourself
to the addictions of escapism and denial.

Through complexity to wholeness,
dance in the labyrinth to heal,
to reveal your inner universe.

Allow your heart to be your compass
and mindful communication to be your ally
in the unknown territory ahead.

October 5, 2018 News Headline:

Swedish girl, 8 years old Saga (yes, that is her name!) pulls out pre-Viking era sword from lake. “She picked up the object, lifted it high above her head, and shouted…” her father said. She “stumbled upon something special in the muddy clay”.

(Further more: this happened in July, within days of of the new nomination to the United States Supreme Court. The news was released on the day of Venus retrograde and Kavanaugh’s confirmation.)

Mythic reality is alive now. Girls and women are drawing up powerful resources from deep, ancient waters. Yes, Venus Scorpio retrograde. We’re going deeper. What has been suppressed, rises up. Power, hidden motives, the undercurrents of relationships. Values and desire are up for reconsideration. Venus retrograde brings us to question worth and core values. We have the opportunity to build and empower integrity and justice when we consciously align desire and intention.
