Attachment and surrender in an archetypal duel… or duet?

One breath follows the next
in the continuum of time.
Step by step,
breath by breath
All paths lead to now,
this present moment.
Look back, look forward.
All of your choices, consciously and unconsciously,
have brought you to this moment of dynamic tension.
Whether your steps are purposeful or uncertain,
plodding, meandering or steaming straight ahead,
the moonlight makes xrays
of what’s hidden in your pockets.
See what’s inside.
The residue, the scourings,
what clearly is and is not your treasure.
The underlying resistance, avoidance,
obsession, attachment or stasis
is stashed in your pockets.
Life presses forward.
It is inevitable.
The realization is intense.
What assumptions weigh in your pockets
and do you really want to keep carrying them around?
“Each of us has the right and the responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead, and those over which we have traveled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising, and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and, carrying only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment, we must be ready to change that as well.” Maya Angelou
Scorpio Full Moon: Inevitable
April 29, 2018 5:58 pm PDT
Full Moon Scorpio is always intense; the drive to dig up what is buried and hidden strains Taurus Sun’s desire for tranquility. The urge to purge yanks on the roots of ingrown and outworn habits. Scorpio attunes our attention to what is essential, not necessarily what is comfortable. The baggage that weighs us down, what drains us is more obvious. This full moon is square the lunar nodes which can highlight awareness of the power of this moment in the context of the larger scheme of life-long patterns. Old behaviors may be seen in a new light. Crisis may be a catalyst for change. There is a potential to face what has been hidden and be empowered to make dynamic choices.
Beltane is a holyday that has long been celebrated with fertility rituals. It marks the midpoint of Spring on May 1st, although the true midpoint this year is May 5. Get rid of your ole stuff and give rise to your fertility!
Mars is the ruler of Scorpio and also of Aries, the sign of the recent new moon. This entire lunar month gives emphasis to Mars. Initiative, drive, vitality, anger. In Aries, the motivation is singular. In Scorpio, we inevitably must deal with our deepest interpersonal connections as well as the intimate relationship with the deepest self. The alliance with Uranus seeded at the New Moon gains greater strength as it travels through the final degree of Aries now until May 15. Read more here.

Anthony Barreiro says
Also, Ceres is closely conjunct the North Node at this full Moon. What do you make of that?
Jacqueline says
Ceres is the Mother Goddess. The North Node is the challenge of the awakening present and the integration of karmic destiny. This is the third of three conjunctions: December 10, 2017 and January 7, 2018 were the first exact dates, so really, we had all of December through mid-January with Ceres conjunct the North Node.
I would imagine the “turning point” quality of this Full Moon has a special significance for those with personal planets in the fixed signs in tight orb with the degrees of the lunation. On a larger scale, I can’t help but wonder about the attachment/surrender quality of this Full Moon at right angles to where we’ve been, where we’re going and the imperative of the Mother Earth who is, after all, our Great Mother.
