“Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. …live in the question.”
Rainer Maria Rilke
Nexus, crossroads. Excitement.
Comfort zone disrupted,
jangled, interrupted.
Not a luxurious and languid pace.
A curious concurrence
of rooted resistance and sudden change…
Anything is possible.
Roll the dice.
Hold on tight
or dare to cut loose.
Freedom, upset.
Deep renewal.
Affirm integrity
Align desire, intention
and cooperation.
“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.” Maya Angelou

Relationship Season
Jolt of awareness. Emotional intensity and mental perception can bring clarity in relationships: all types of relationships, personal, business and in community. Reversals and sudden changes. Tensions rise between the desire for security and for destruction. Restlessness and resistance. Conservation and rebellion. Taking sides. Diversity clashes with uniformity. Hurry up and be patient already!
The signature of this full moon is a grand fixed cross (see chart image). Venus, the planet of love, desire for harmony and values figures prominently. We have to take emotional risks to get the goodies. This includes emotions invested in creativity. Friday, 10/26 Venus conjuncts the Sun, an important point in the retrograde cycle. Open your awareness to sense where you are in your relationship with yourself. Does self-examination and deep transformation go together with a deep-rooted self-love?
This full moon kicks off a week+ (through approx 11/3) of an unstable period of change. For many, a karmic turning point. Some experience the excitement of moving forward with impulse, perception and synchronicity. Others find the tensions build without direction and burst out of control.
“The Venus Retrograde (October 5 – November 16) in Scorpio, is notorious for complex entanglements. The water is deep. Be aware of strategy and manipulation. Be authentic. Venus retrogrades back into Libra on October 31. Harmonious negotiation is key. Life is short. Go for the love.” quote from my Equinox Full Moon post.

“Life is glorious, but life is also wretched. It is both. Appreciating the gloriousness inspires us, encourages us, cheers us up, gives us a bigger perspective, energizes us. We feel connected. But if that’s all that’s happening, we get arrogant and start to look down on others, and there is a sense of making ourselves a big deal and being really serious about it, wanting it to be like that forever. The gloriousness becomes tinged by craving and addiction. On the other hand, wretchedness–life’s painful aspect–softens us up considerably. Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person. When you are feeling a lot of grief, you can look right into somebody’s eyes because you feel you haven’t got anything to lose–you’re just there. The wretchedness humbles us and softens us, but if we were only wretched, we would all just go down the tubes. We’d be so depressed, discouraged, and hopeless that we wouldn’t have enough energy to eat an apple. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us. They go together.” Pema Chödrön, Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living

Where do I feel stuck and how am I getting in my own way?
Out of my comfort zone? What is disruption showing me?
May I delve honestly and boldly within and with deeply-rooted self-love?
“A mathematician may calculate the position of the planets, a computer report offers fragmented descriptions of an astrology chart. Yet, the way you translate it speaks to me and makes all the difference.” Robin L.
