Gemini New Moon: Pollination

June 2, 2019 By Jacqueline

Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh

fabulous monarch 200x300 - Gemini New Moon: Pollination

Earth saturated with artificial light
loses the dark moon.

Eyes blinded by manufactured light,
yet rooted in biology
our senses, our cells,
our bodies know.

New Moon waxing to full and waning to renew again.
Our bodies know
the pulse, the rhythm, the cycles
of day to night
night to day
month to month
season to season.

Now the dark moon calls us to listen to the shifting winds
that cross-pollinates our thoughts
and excites our minds.
Reflection, discovery,
analysis, busyness.

A calm mind bridges the spectrum.

Each New Moon is a portal to what is internal. Quiet time, restfulness or fatigue can draw us inward. Yet, this New Moon in Gemini is a restless one. The new monthly cycle begins with a new ideas, insights, perceiving patterns, connecting people, and conversations. Connection is ripe for pollination. A T-square with Jupiter and Neptune adds distraction, dissatisfaction, fantastical dreams, speculation and yearning.

Connection is why we’re here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.” Brené Brown

Clear the clutter of your mind and listen. Ground your live wires and loose ends by using your hands for practical or creative tasks. Focus upon your inhalation and exhalation by the simple acts of counting them one by one. Notice your breath slowing down. Calm your mind in silence. Can you hear it?

Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in being. Allow nature to teach you stillness.” Eckhart Tolle

“Your readings are so helpful and amazing. I cannot begin to express enough how meaningful and healing the readings have been for me. I appreciate you. Thank you!” Jeanne L.

Scorpio Full Moon: Passionate Alchemy

May 17, 2019 By Jacqueline

Red Duo by Marcia Snedecor 1 300x237 - Scorpio Full Moon: Passionate Alchemy

A shadow is never created in darkness. It is born of light. We can be blind to it and blinded by it. Our shadow asks us to look at what we don’t want to see.” Terry Tempest Williams

In our face.
The blindness and
the blaring reality.

Practice passionate alchemy:
holding ground,
dancing in the fire,
the fathoms,
the ether.
We are the weavers of the web.

Integrity, truth,
persistence.

Awareness of our biological cycles,
we are the rhythms,
nature and spirit as one.

Courage and willingness arise
to see ourselves in the mirror of both beloved and adversary.

Realization of what we believe,
taking responsibility for living our truths
with integrity in the minefield of life’s contradictions.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy…the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” Brené Brown

Scorpio Moon is always intense as the drive to explore all that is hidden and taboo strains Taurus Sun’s desire for tranquility. The urge to purge yanks on the chains of comfort and unwitting stagnation. Scorpio attunes our attention to what is essential, what makes us feel alive.

The baggage that weighs us down, that drains us is more obvious. Old structures are tested, again. It’s time to clean house. We are clearing the ground for the new seeds. Listen to what your body and your mind are saying.

The crises we face awakens us to the broaden our perspective of our collective, the larger whole of which each one of us is a part. Reassessment, coming to terms with responsibility and commitment and the roles we assume in our relationships, social and professional lives. Evolving maturity, seeking resolution. Bright ideas, innovation, technology. Contradiction. New creative force. Conflict and struggle. Catharsis. Revolution.

We all have an unsuspected reserve of strength inside that emerges when life puts us to the test.” Isabel Allende

Taurus New Moon: Fertile Seed

May 3, 2019 By Jacqueline

Nothing is more precious than being in the present moment. Fully alive, fully aware.” Thich Nhat Hanh

Labyrinth Meditation Cathy McClelland 252x300 - Taurus New Moon: Fertile Seed

Through the cycles and seasons
of your own life experience,
Notice
when you are in and out of balance.

Drop your judgements
and self-consciousness of right and wrong.

Come home to your body,
come home to the earth.

Connect with the yourself in a deeper way
with sensuality and curiosity,
get down into your roots.

Welcome yourself home in your body,
welcome the earth, your home.

The body is a sacred garment.” Martha Graham (Taurus woman, born May 11)

The practical and the unseen are woven together.

Attention and observation
with heartfelt reverence
opens doors of awareness.

Everything is holy.

Connect with the earth
with embodied awareness.

Take off your shoes,
get your feet on the ground,
recharge your instincts and
welcome the earth rhythms through your soles.

Connect with the earth in a deeper way
in an active relationship.
Get your hands into the earth,
experience the cycles and seasons,
celebrate the fertility of the earth.
Don’t be a stranger to your Mother.

Taurus new moon is a fertile seed.
May your intentions be infused
with your uniquely blended instincts
to
nourish your aspirations
from root to flower.

Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” Brené Brown

What are the weeds that are diverting nourishment to my plants?

How am I standing in my way from clearing my path?

How can I simplify and implement practical steps so that I may resonate with the pleasure of being alive?

“The idea of the itself labyrinth is about tracing your way back to the center, the quiet place inside where you commune with spirit and your most inner self, connecting to God or your creator. Once you feel your have connected, you trace your way back to your day to day world, taking the information you received and applying it in your life.” Cathy McClelland, artist of “Labyrinth Meditation”, the illustration at the top of this post.

I finally figured out the only reason to be alive is to enjoy it.” Rita Mae Brown

“Before working with you, I was completely blocked to the connection between my physical and spiritual selves. Although I had an intellectual conception of the connection between physical and emotional ailments, your clarity helped me penetrate quickly to the inner causes of my pain. I want to tell you the profound impact you’ve had on my life, and thank you again.” Scott A.

Libra Full Moon: Ripe

April 18, 2019 By Jacqueline

Moonrise by Janie Olson 217x300 - Libra Full Moon: RipeRipe.
If the moon
was stitched together
with cosmic thread,
it would be bursting at the seams.

A luminescent celestial statement.
Libra Full Moon Ripe
beacon of elegant cooperation
at her wit’s end.
at the point of no return.

Frayed edges.
Patience worn thin.
Moonlight spills from the tipping point…

Shards of the past.
Broken rules.
What is out of wack.

Contrast is accentuated.
The picture is less than graceful.
Realizations brought from the night into the light of the day.

Be done with it.

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” C.G. Jung

Libra Full Moon: Ripe
April 19, 2019 4:12 am PDT

One month ago at the Equinox, the full moon was in the earliest degree of Libra. We were still wading through the mists of that dreamy, perhaps murky Mercury retrograde in Pisces (conjunct Neptune). The cycle comes around to this full moon in the final degree of Libra, a time of fruition and culmination. There may be a last ditch effort to bring a conclusion to misunderstandings of the past. For some, there is an impatience to move forward that can be rude. Testy. In a rush.

Why not highlight the best of this passage: the sign of Libra is known as the Peacemaker. Bring in harmony and balance. We surely need it now. The South Node sits between Pluto and Saturn, destabilizing established hierarchy. People can get too controlling or feel ruled by the demands of others. Work and family responsibilities balance askew. The catharsis continues. Waking up begins in the Here and Now. How may we move forward with graceful equanimity? How may each voice be heard?

Everything is held together with stories. That is all that is holding us together, stories and compassion.” Barry López

That’s life starting over one breath at a time. 200x300 - Libra Full Moon: RipeLibra Full Moon Meditation

Libra is an air sign. Breath is the key to clear the mind and calm the heart.

The four fold breath: Inhale with a four count, hold breath for a four count, exhale with a four count, hold breath for a four count.

Take your time with your own rhythm, it’s not a race and there is nothing to prove. Try it for a minute or two and notice the difference in your mind and body.

The trick is remembering that you can practice this anytime throughout your day or at night.

That’s life: starting over, one breath at a time.” Sharon Salzberg, Real Happiness

Aries New Moon: Renewal

April 4, 2019 By Jacqueline

unfurled by juliedillon db0u8jl 300x193 - Aries New Moon: Renewal

Visions, dreams and yearnings,
nebulous anxiety and fears
…cosmic waters recede.

Pluto plumbs and dredges the past,
yet more to discover, dig up and discard.
The only ground to stand on is the leading edge
of provocative fire.
The depth, the core, the leap,
and the courage of unfurling.

“It’s not the absence of fear. It’s overcoming it. Sometimes you’ve got to blast through and have faith.” Emma Watson (Aries woman, born April 15)

Fiery spiral of lifespring rising
from the subterranean bubbling;
vulnerable and perhaps raw,
we emerge with the bold vitality of Aries.

Take the initiative, break new ground,
Aries New Moon: Renewal.

“Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go; it is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow.” Alice Mackenzie Swaim

Aries New Moon: Renewal
April 5, 2019 1:50 am PDT

Throughout the month of March, uncertainty and distractions muddled the collective view. Mercury retrograde in Pisces conjuct Neptune three times. Practical matters were often set aside or needed to be re-done. The fog is slowly lifting, although we’re not quite in the clear. The Aries New Moon brings an impatience to get on with it all. Aries, the warrior of elemental fire, takes a leap forward even though we may not have clarity about where we’re going or how to go about it. The karmic catharsis is rumbling and headstrong Aries’ impulse is to forge forward. More here: More than Mercury Retrograde.

Note April 10-13:
Aries Sun squares Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. You might need to move mountains. Be patient and pace yourself. Notice what’s up for you, you’ll be dealing with the same or similar issues in January of next year.
