Lunar Eclipse in Leo

The dark side of this eclipse is greed, self-pity or a hunger for approval that masquerades as a panacea for emotional fulfillment. The awakening is connected to a larger, all-inclusive awareness, that takes in the mistakes of the past and includes healing and forgiveness.
The eclipsed moon is in Leo, sign of creative expression, generosity and self-love. Doesn’t everyone one deserve unabashed self-love and the vitality of self confidence? Here we have an opportunity to see and feel limiting criticism and judgements exposed. Welcome the light of love into the hidden places, bring gentleness to the vulnerability within you and the vulnerability in everyone.
Mercury, in the final degree of Capricorn, is not so playful. Weighty matters. Pushing that rock uphill. Five planets all together in Capricorn and Aquarius, both ruled by Saturn (Aquarius co-ruled by Saturn and Uranus). The theme of responsibility continues. Consider that eclipses always upset the paradigm and reveal discrepancy. What has been swept under the rug is uncovered. Secrets escape from hidden places. No need to be heavy-handed, take a grounded stance and speak with maturity.

Look where the eclipses fall in your astrological chart. You’ll find a theme of unexpected change in those areas throughout this year. The eclipses often add a twist, a boost for change. (additionally, Mars will retrograde into Aquarius later this summer. Yeah, we’re going to be working it. Collective change is due!)
