Virgo New Moon: Sacred Earth

August 29, 2019 By Jacqueline

“Breathing in, I calm body and mind. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment I know this is the only moment.” Thich Nhat Hanh

New Moon.
Begin again…
and again and again…

The cycles of your body
and seasons of your life.
The earth keeps spinning,
the moon carries on, clocking phases.

Virgo harvest queen
knows the routine.
Sift, sort, refine,
go for the gold.

Listen with care,
discern with heart,
organize with clarity.
Avoid the extremes of over analysis.

Craft a skillful synthesis.
Replenish health.
Focus on the Now,
and invoke practical wisdom.

Reverence, sincerity
and devotion to the
Sacred Work.
Sacred Earth.
Your Sacred Life.

“Being fully present isn’t something that happens once and then you have achieved it; it’s being awake to the ebb and flow and movement and creation of life, being alive to the process of life itself.” Pema Chödrön, The Wisdom of No Escape

Sun and Moon are joined by Mars, Venus and Mercury in the early degrees of Virgo. All of the personal planets (except the Moon, of course) will be in Virgo until September 14th. Harvest Goddess Time. You owe it to yourself to take some time to ask yourself what you’re doing with your time and where you’re devoting your precious time. Harvest, distill and refine. This is an excellent time to plant seeds of service as well as instituting all matters of health routines.

September 2 & 3, Sun, Mars and Mercury come into an exact conjunction. Many are thrown into charged situations, words flying and impulsed to action. Emergency. Act quickly and with precision.

“All that is important is this one moment in movement. Make the moment important, vital, and worth living. Do not let it slip away unnoticed and unused.” Martha Graham

Am I repeating actions that no longer have results?

What attitudes, things or routines are breaking down and need to be discarded or repaired?

What can I do to make a difference?

“When we relate to ourselves with loving kindness, perfectionism naturally drops away.” Sharon Salzberg

20 Year Anniversary of AstroFlash!

August 14, 2019 By Jacqueline

20 Year Anniversary of AstroFlash!
August 1999 – August 2019

I mailed the first issues to clients and friends with the header:
pssssssst…………….. astroflash! …………… pass it on!

Sometimes I run into people who whisper that phrase into my ear. Ha! Love it.

I started writing it on my first computer, a laptop with 8 mgs of RAM after living off-grid for 2 1/2 years.

Tell me, how long have you been reading the ‘flash?

What are your favorite parts of it?

Leave a comment below. I’d appreciate your feedback!

When writing the Astroflash, I look at the big picture and condense what I see and understand into a brief perspective that I hope is useful to the many who read it. I am able to offer deeper, more detailed and personal information when reading an individual astrological chart.

♥ Reach out and schedule an appointment.

Thank you for sharing and passing it on…

Peace, Love and Butterflies!

Aquarius Full Moon: Queen of Reflection

August 14, 2019 By Jacqueline

“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness – it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.” Brené Brown

Full Moon touchstone,
eye of the storm.
Step inside yourself and
look around.
Step outside and
touch the earth.

Luminous beauty,
lighting up the whole sky.
Aquarius Full Moon:
Queen of Reflection.

Each breath opens a petal
of your moonflower.
Stay curious.
Petal by petal
revealing beauty and aliveness.
Don’t dismiss or diminish
the vibrancy of your own being.

Awareness is available
and heightened by this generous moon,
Queen of Reflection.

Social tension.
Analysis, distancing
and comparison
threatens to fragment
the delicious fragrance of moonflowering.

Enough or too much?
Us and them.
Participation or observation.
Apart or included.
Measurement, analysis,
and on and on…

Dismantle comparison.
Disengage the over-analysis.

“Can you wake up out of thought into the aliveness, the alertness that you only have, that is inseparable from present moment? That is ultimately the meaning of now.” Eckhart Tolle

Be with the vibrancy of aliveness,
with all your senses,
the playful awareness
of audacious moonlight
revelations.

Attune your personal rhythms
to the rhythms of the earth.
The Queen of Reflections
calls forth your moonflower to bloom.

“If we stretch ourselves to open our minds, to see our shared humanity with others, we allow ourselves to see the existence of community and generosity in unexpected places.” Sharon Salzberg, Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection

Leo New Moon: Heartfire

July 30, 2019 By Jacqueline

“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul.” Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Your heart is raw and tender. Why pretend?
You are human and bleed bloody red.

Be bold and listen to your heart song.
You are the center of your own universe.

Bring yourself into your center,
the place where
all your complexities and contradictions
collide and synthesize
and fuel your radiant heartfire.

Bring your attention
to your tender and powerful heart,
beneath the veneer of ideals and criticism.

Don’t hold back.
Give love, receive deeply,
love more and more,
allow it to circulate through and through you.
Allow yourself to be loved.
Allow yourself to Be Love.
Don’t hold back.

“Determine to live life with flair and laughter.” Maya Angelou

Sparkle or agitation? New moon is squared by Uranus. We are challenged to break out of restrictions, to get out of our own way. The world is moving fast, this new moon prompts us to take a leap. Just Do It!

Add Venus to the mix and we’re more willing to take a chance on love.

Additionally, Mercury in Cancer stations direct within the hour after the new moon is exact. Take some quiet time on Wednesday evening to listen to your intuition. How may you water and nourish your new moon seeds?

What is FUN in my life?

How may I be open and receptive to what makes me feel alive?

What is the new moon seed (my intentions) that I am planting in regards to my creative expression?

World Tree Meditation

July 15, 2019 By Jacqueline

World Tree Meditation

Stand or sit with a tree. If you are not outside with a tree, imagine you are in a forest.

Call in the stillness.

Become aware of your breathing, breath after breath. Relax into your body, releasing any tension you find as you relax with your lovely breath.

Allow your spine to find a balance. If you’re standing, notice the balance of your posture and allow micro-movements to be a part of your stance or posture.

Imagine your feet and legs growing into roots that travel deep and wide into the earth. Drink in the strength from the earth and draw it upward through your feet, legs and torso.

Stay connected to your roots and breathe the earthy vitality into your heart and lungs, your arms, shoulders, neck and head.

If it is comfortable to raise your arms upward, do so and imagine your arms as branches reaching into the sky. Alternatively, imagine branches growing from your shoulders and arms.

Breathe in the sky from your glorious branches.
Nourish your heartwood.
Stand tall.

Know you are an intersection of earth and sky, rooted deeply and reaching with expansive largess. Allow your roots to fill the entire earth. Allow your head to tower beyond what you can imagine.

Know you are connected to all of creation. Call in Universal Wisdom. Give thanks and offer loving kindness from your heartwood. World Tree Meditation. This wisdom is available to you always.
