Lunar Eclipse Aquarius August 7, 2017 11:10 am PDT

The transformative power of this full moon is super-charged by a lunar eclipse at the midpoint of two Leo New Moons. Eclipses are phases in which we do not travel in ordinary space time, but in a dimension of mystery, synchronicity and surprise. Irrational and unpredictable.

Take nothing for granted,
question certainty,
explore possibilities,
invoke persistent gratitude.

Uranus (ruler of visionary Aquarius), the agent of awakening and electric change, at a standstill; Uranus shifted into retrograde on August 2. Willpower is defiant and rebellious. The hectic pace is electrified and magnified.

August 4: Jupiter square Pluto. Integrity is tested again and again.
August 12: Mercury retrograde in Virgo. Devotion to details.
August 21: Solar Eclipse Leo. We are navigating a grand cusp of change.

It’s not about pushing and getting nowhere frazzled and fast.
There is wisdom in timing. Has over-thinking distanced you from being present with the immediacy of your feelings? Attunement with your personal rhythms brings you into attunement with earth’s rhythms. Listen to your body! We grow by leaps and bounds as we bring our beliefs into practice. This is the first of two New Moons in Leo, next month the Leo New Moon is a powerful solar eclipse. In between, the upcoming Full Moon will be a lunar eclipse. What of it?

This New Moon is strongly placed for acting on impulse and forging a new path. Five planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Uranus and Saturn are all in fire signs. Self-expression, creativity, vision and intuition spark and blaze.

Fire is dramatic, bold and visible.
Those dazzled by their own brilliance may act with insensitivity to others. If you are uncomfortable with being seen, you may feel agitated. If you believe that you deserve to be recognized and yet perceive yourself as invisible, you may be angry or motivated to rise up.

Be aware of what is showing up in your consciousness during these days surrounding this New Moon.
The themes intensify as we travel through the eclipse passages. Light and shadow. Eclipses are powerful windows that open to what has been previously hidden or unknown. Capricorn Full Moon: Gravity and the Wild Ride

Capricorn is the guardian of tradition,
the keeper of rules,
the conservator, the trustee for the tribe.

Capricorn Full Moon illuminates
devotion to achievement,
reverence for reputation,
the cracks in the edifice,
and one’s emotional foundation
with a hard-edged light.

Unspoken rules are rooted in the past.
Assumptions are exposed,
instincts are challenged
and letting go is essential on the path.

Release the outmoded habits and
shed the tight suit of armor
that keep you from drinking deep from your wellspring,
nourishing your roots,
and being present in the here and now.

Cancer New Moon: Nectar of Intuition

Intuition is the compass
that navigates uncertainty
and hones in on the sweetness of life.

Be drawn into the realm of the unseen
and be guided by your inner senses.

Is there a rumbling in your belly?
Lunar time sharpens the senses.
What are you really hungry for?

Create safe space within to allow
emotion and imagination to be held.
It’s time to reflect and attune to your deep instincts.

The need to nourish and strengthen emotional roots is strong
to carry through and sustain the summer season of growth ahead.

It is natural to feel more sensitive than usual. A heightened awareness of whether or not we feel “at home” within ourselves, or in relationship to “the hive”: our families, our relationships, our tribe. Imagination may be helpful or a hindrance.

It is our perception
