Solar Eclipse Aquarius: Wake Up Call

February 12, 2018 By Jacqueline

“The universe is not short on wake-up calls. We’re just quick to hit the snooze button.” Brené Brown

planetary alignment by Julie Dillon 255x300 - Solar Eclipse Aquarius: Wake Up CallWoe to the slumber of routine.
Restless stirrings spark and flash
unconscious disruption rumble.

Turn around, look again
refocus your lens
… upside down.

Get out of your own way
Invite the fresh, the new, the innovative view,
this unfolding present moment
as it transforms before your eyes.

Synchronicity is not an anomaly.
The visual and the analytical accented with flair,
supercharge the Eclipse Wake Up Call.
May we all be aware.

Improvise with the unexpected,
try a new approach.
Some wrestle with anxiety
as contradictions are illuminated.

“It’s exhilarating to be alive in a time of awakening consciousness; it can also be confusing, disorienting, and painful.” Adrienne Rich

Twists and turns veer out
of the tiresome ruts and holding patterns.
Fixation is a drain.

Keep the energy moving
and include time out
from the hyperactive, analytical
incessant tech parade.

Bow to the earth,
your animal body’s need
for nourishment and rest.

It’s too easy to disassociate,
to forget and neglect the basics….
Remember what is essential!

“The heart is like a garden. It can grow compassion or fear, resentment or love. What seeds will you plant there?” Jack Kornfield

A Solar Eclipse changes the way we perceive the order of our lives. We see a shadow where we depend on seeing light. We may be startled by our own shadows and try to throw them on someone else! The darkness accentuated by an eclipse can bring a sharp focus of clarity into our field of vision. The infinite unknown must be taken into account. Eclipses are supernatural passageways that accentuate the uncertainty of daily life. The challenge of incorporating streams of new information into a foundation of unconscious beliefs is very stressful. How may we accommodate truth into our lives?

We are in the process of a long-term breakdown and transformation of collective hierarchy. The remnants of the old tenets that we’ve been struggling with are evident in tricky ways. We may find ourselves juggling options and obligations, trying to keep all the balls up in the air. Old stories are repeated in new guises – do we fall into the same trap? The drama is set on both the personal and collective stages.

Each eclipse is not an isolated event. The larger cycles, called the Saros Series, classifies this eclipse in a family that is characterized by an abundance of brilliant ideas. Bring it on! Is it raining bright ideas on your head? I’d like to know! I invite you to leave a comment below. (and make sure to read below for the Bonus Question)

“A change in the collective does not happen until the change happens in the individual. The individuals make up the collective. This is why we are here. We are looking at the collective insanity and seeing how it works, and that is the first step in liberation.” Eckhart Tolle

The New Moon in Aquarius in 2017 was close to the Cross Quarter, midway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. At that time I wrote:

Wake up and meet each day
with possibilities and with choices.
Distill the tumult and disruption,
the fears and confusion,
to the essential values of your heart… read further:

Aquarius New Moon & Cross-Quarter

The heart is like a garden. 2 200x300 - Solar Eclipse Aquarius: Wake Up Call☽ Solar Eclipse Seeds of Inquiry ☼

How am I holding up mentally and physically to the stresses in my life?

How may I pace myself?

Am I receptive to listen and willing to change?

What is the vision that I wish to translate into my present reality?

*Bonus Question (Saros Series): What was up for me around February 2000, January 1982 and/or January 1964?

“I have so enjoyed my reading with you, Jacqueline! Wow! The amount of detailed information I received really answered some burning questions that I been wrestling with. Not only did gain a clearer understanding of what issues I am dealing with now, but also what reoccurring patterns are in my life and the lessons they bring.

We also discussed what overarching issues will be impacting my upcoming year. I have some important decisions to make and the insight and loving way that you explained everything makes me look forward to the changes that await me. I can move forward with confidence, knowing that I understand what I am trying to learn from a soul perspective. Thank you so much for your insights and wisdom. I am so grateful!” Lisa Walton

Lunar Eclipse Leo: Blood Moon

January 28, 2018 By Jacqueline

“There is a vitality, a life force that is translated through you into action. And because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost.” Martha Graham

The World by cathy mcclelland 201x300 - Lunar Eclipse Leo: Blood Moon
“The World/Universe is the journey of the joyful integration of yourself with the rest of creation, living in trust and without fear. The Fool has traveled a long road to get to the heights of the world. Here there is joy, love and fulfillment. The World represents the dance of life, dancing with the freedom of truly knowing yourSelf, blending the dark and the light, and expressing your full individuality. When you experience The World, you feel such deep love not only in yourself, but for everything around you. You feel totally integrated with everything. You understand the responsibility of human existence.” Art and quote from The Star Tarot by Cathy McClelland

Dance of Life.
Shadow & Light.
Lunar eclipse perception shift.
The world keeps going ’round.

The split, the shadow,
what drops away
and what is given new life.
Polarity of clarity and uncertainty.

We see our shadows as blood
in the moons reflection.
Yes, we are the ones
who cast the shadow

as we stand on
our precious Mother Earth.

Between emotional exuberance
and calculating awareness.
Ideals, imagination and drama
contrast with sober responsibilities.

Eclipse shapeshift.
Who you are and who you wanna be.
Calling in the NOW and
creating the future vision ahead.

“I am convinced that courage is the most important of all the virtues. Because without courage, you cannot practice any other virtue consistently. You can be kind for a while; you can be generous for a while; you can be just for a while, or merciful for a while, even loving for a while. But it is only with courage that you can be persistently and insistently kind and generous and fair.” Maya Angelou

Lunar Eclipse in Leo
January 31, 2018 5:26 am PT

The dark side of this eclipse is greed, self-pity or a hunger for approval that masquerades as a panacea for emotional fulfillment. The awakening is connected to a larger, all-inclusive awareness, that takes in the mistakes of the past and includes healing and forgiveness.

The eclipsed moon is in Leo, sign of creative expression, generosity and self-love. Doesn’t everyone one deserve unabashed self-love and the vitality of self confidence? Here we have an opportunity to see and feel limiting criticism and judgements exposed. Welcome the light of love into the hidden places, bring gentleness to the vulnerability within you and the vulnerability in everyone.

Mercury, in the final degree of Capricorn, is not so playful. Weighty matters. Pushing that rock uphill. Five planets all together in Capricorn and Aquarius, both ruled by Saturn (Aquarius co-ruled by Saturn and Uranus). The theme of responsibility continues. Consider that eclipses always upset the paradigm and reveal discrepancy. What has been swept under the rug is uncovered. Secrets escape from hidden places. No need to be heavy-handed, take a grounded stance and speak with maturity.

This is the first of 5 eclipses for 2018, four of which activate the polarity of Leo and Aquarius:

January 31, 2018 – Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo
February 15, 2018 – Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius
July 13, 2018 – Partial Solar Eclipse in Cancer
July 27, 2018 – Total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius
August 11, 2018 – Partial Solar Eclipse in Leo

Look where the eclipses fall in your astrological chart. You’ll find a theme of unexpected change in those areas throughout this year. The eclipses often add a twist, a boost for change. (additionally, Mars will retrograde into Aquarius later this summer. Yeah, we’re going to be working it. Collective change is due!) Consider what needs to be released and what new developments are opening ahead. Breathing out and breathing in.

“I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” Maya Angelou

Invocation of the Lunar Eclipse in Leo (click to read)

I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it. 200x300 - Lunar Eclipse Leo: Blood Moon☽ Leo Eclipse Contemplations ☼

How may I reignite my creative fire for change and release the fears and/or criticisms that weigh me down?

Where do I need to focus my energy to make the change?

Consider your life in 1999, there was a lunar eclipse very close by degree to the current eclipse activation. If you can, look at what houses in your astrological chart where highlighted then and now.

“Jacqueline, my impressions of the reading with you in November continues to play an important role in my self knowledge. Your intuition along with the astrological component was shockingly accurate and helped me to see aspects of myself in a new light. And the reading was joyful and full of laughter, which makes the recording so appealing to listen to. Your guidance has been invaluable.
With gratitude, M. O’Conner

Capricorn New Moon: Alignment

January 15, 2018 By Jacqueline

“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story & hustle for your worthiness.” Brené Brown

Entranced by Janie Olsen 148x300 - Capricorn New Moon: Alignment
“The symbol of bountiful goodness of the Earth Goddess is the cornucopia, the horn of plenty that was borrowed by the goat Amaltheia, and it would be unwise to ignore the gifts that tumble from it.” from “The Knot of Time” by Lindsay River and Sally Gillespie. Posture, alignment, stance.
Stand up with intention.
Own it.
Hunched over your phone,
driven to distraction?
Align and focus your actions.

Wherever you stand,
from sea level to mountain top,
align with your intentions.

Discipline. Maturity.
Integrity. Reputation.
The reckoning of aspirations and ambitions.

A new moon teaches
gradualness and deliberation,

and how one gives
birth to oneself slowly.

Patience with small details
makes perfect a work,
like the universe.

New year, new moon.
Feet on the ground.
Precious life. Precious earth.
Hands on responsibility.
Responsibility on shoulders.
Alignment and balance,
here & now.
The weight of what you choose to endure
for future reward or outcome.

Make practical steps.
Be persistent. Stay aligned with your truth.
Invoke patience and endurance,
for the radical transformation of our times.

Draw strength from

Draw strength from
the persistent grip of your roots.
Draw strength from
the wisdom of your elders and ancestors.

Capricorn New Moon

Six planets in Capricorn line up at this New Moon: along with Sun and Moon, Venus, Mercury, Saturn and Pluto. Capricorn rules the skeleton, bringing attention to essential strength and support within. Appearance. Reputation. Form and structure in the outer world. Framework.

Venus is the closest conjunction, bringing grace and harmony with maturity and loving-kindness. The wisdom of female elders and the matriarchal lineage.

Uranus in Aries squares the New Moon and brings a sense of urgency that can be energizing, motivating or chaotic. We cannot cling to outworn paradigms. If systems are unsustainable, they break down.

This is a strong statement for maturity and steadfastness. Who carries the power of authority? Own it. It time for each of us to bear the responsibility to reshape our world. The call for security and control often gives rise to fear. Claim your boundaries. Own your authority and your responsibility for the generations ahead.

“I am a true believer! Wanted you to know that your reading was “spot on” with what has been happening in my life since then. I went through some extremely difficult relationship challenges which I survived 🙂 and continue to grow through. Nearly everything you mentioned has happened. I began to wonder why Sept & Oct were such difficult months for me and then I remembered the reading and I thought, wow, there is truly something to astrology. I had never explored before – so, thank you. Thinking I might want a “check-in” appointment sometime in next few months.” Pam H

Cancer Full Moon: High Tide

“Believe in yourself and what you feel. Your power will come from that.” Melissa Etheridge

Debra Bernier Spiral Fingerprint of The Goddess Nautilus Woman 221x300 - Cancer Full Moon: High TideHigh tide of ocean emotion

upon the shores of our lives.
We are pulled to pay attention
to the care and feeding
of life in a human body.

Inconvenient,
perhaps agitating

Disappointment may show up
when investing nourishment
in others while denying our own needs
or when turning towards addictive habits

Now we must integrate
self nurturing and self discipline.
The struggle for self-sufficiency and authority

Now is the time to attend to our emotional health. As the Sun in Capricorn forges ahead with new year’s resolutions, the full moon cries out for each of us to incorporate, be whole and embody our ambitions. Both Cancer and Capricorn (the signs of the Moon and Sun now) tend to be cautious and need security. If a sense of security is lacking, anxiety and fears may rise.

Saturn entered Capricorn barely two weeks ago to begin a two and a half year journey through its home sign. Sun and Venus quickly joined in. Do-si-do. High Tide. Cancer Full Moon swings the polarity. It’s not about either/or. It is a dynamic process. Inhale, exhale. Hold the tension of self-sufficiency and vulnerability. Swing it around.

Cancer and Capricorn are the lineage holders of family archetypes. Deeply embedded within us, the most encouraging and disparaging voices arise during these times. Be aware of the heavy-footed voices of should.

Water

Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio create a Grand Water Trine with this Cancer Moon. The supportive flow of compassion is strong now, allow and feel your tenderness. If the waters have been held back for too long, they may be unleashed in an exaggerated way. We may find the need to create, hold or maintain boundaries. Art and aesthetic expression and experience can be deeply stirring, inspiring, soothing and healing. Let the waters flow. Be at ease.

What nourishes me?
How may be attuned to my needs as I pursue my goals?
How may I respond to others without neglecting myself?

“Jacqueline has given me many powerful and amazing insights about my life path, challenges, and gifts. Her insights are so acute as to be uncanny, and her deep, empathetic wisdom is both invaluable and a joy to receive. I have gained so much external/internal awareness through Jacqueline’s personal readings and writings, words don’t really do the experience justice. Highly, highly recommended!!” Amanda N

Sagittarius New Moon & the Cosmic Center

December 16, 2017 By Jacqueline

“When your heart is awakened, you can’t help but speak the truth.”
Erica Huggins

Temperance by Odessa Sawyer 240x300 - Sagittarius New Moon & the Cosmic Center
Sagittarius is associated with the tarot card of Temperance. Qualities of tolerance and broad-mindedness are allies when seeking meaning in what appears to be incomprehensible and irreconcilable. Expansive views reveal larger patterns. Diversity is cosmic. Temperance and the alchemy of integrity.

Ruthless truth
overblown righteousness
Wisdom arises through crisis.

Obsessive speculation,
greed and fanaticism,
jousting for control.
Inflammation.

We are re-defining and
transforming power

through the murkiness, anguish
and alchemy of our collective confusion.

Fire of the wild
galloping far and wide
crippling grief.
Take in the big picture
how wide can your eyes see?

“People need space to air out their thoughts, to have a sense of themselves – unfettered by anything.” Patti Smith

New lunar cycle of vision and hope,
expanding possibilities
with freedom to grow.

Great Wheel Turning.
Grappling with the power to change.
Life is magnified.
Face your truth.
Affirm your center.
Make the change.

“If there is one thing I’ve learned in my years on this planet, it’s that the happiest and most fulfilled people I’ve known are those who devoted themselves to something bigger and more profound than merely their own self-interest.” John Glenn, 1st U.S. astronaut to orbit the earth.

John Glenn quote 200x300 - Sagittarius New Moon & the Cosmic CenterSagittarius New Moon
December 17, 2017 10:30 pm PT

Once a year we have a New Moon in Sagittarius. It occurs in November or December, naturally when the Sun is in Sagittarius. This time it lands at the degree of the Galactic Center, the center of the Milky Way. For real, the Galactic Center is the most powerful source of cosmic radiation in the galaxy (discovery by Researchers at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa).

We plant the seed of a new lunar cycle, it’s very personal for each of us and activates a cosmic confluence that ripples out through the unifying whole. Think about that. Where are you now and what are you doing? Our challenge is to bring together the visionary and the practical. Temperance and the alchemy of integrity.

We plant a cosmic seed in this window of a great turning of the wheel, at the confluence of the following:

December 19, Saturn enters Capricorn (2 1/2 years). The last time Saturn was in Capricorn was 1988 until early 1991.
December 21, Solstice: the Sun stands still and consorts with Saturn throughout this week.
December 25, Venus conjuncts Saturn

Integrity. Patience. Maturity.
Responsibility in relationship to our values. Restructuring of the status quo. Defining what needs to be done now to provide for the generations ahead. There’s much, much more to be said about the journey we about to embark upon.

Great Wheel Turning. 200x300 - Sagittarius New Moon & the Cosmic Center☽ Sagittarius New Moon Contemplations ☼

What are the circumstances of my life that are challenging me to live with greater integrity?

What is the truth emerging at this time? What is my truth?

How may develop and maintain an internal freedom as I shoulder the responsibilities of life?

How may I take action to support my vision and beliefs?
